The Picture Hanger offers a comprehensive picture placement design service. Using my visual and creative abilities, each space is individualised with you to achieve a solution and design to complement and highlight the aesthetics in your environment. I have extensive experience in the design of exhibitions, sophisticated art arrangements including large collage/French hang, mixed artworks, family photographs and business plaques.
FINE ART INSTALLATION
The Picture Hanger bridges the gap between interior design and technician, and combines an extensive picture framing background with fine art painting, gallery experience and building renovation. I understand the nature of artwork, frames, canvases and building structures and will choose appropriate wall fastenings to guarantee the condition of the frame, whilst the art work remains securely on the wall.
GALLERY TRACK SYSTEMS
The Picture Hanger supplies and installs a range of gallery and cable hanging systems for residential and business needs. Hanging systems provide flexibility to adjust the placement of artwork without the need to create further damage and subsequent repair to your wall. These systems are ideal for accommodating changes in a collection, moving offices, rental properties, or exhibitions.
SECURITY HANGING SYSTEMS
The Picture Hanger offers a 2 point security fastening or a more sophisticated system which utilises 3-4 points of fastening. These provide an anti-theft security for your artwork and are utilised in high traffic areas such as public places. The system also maintains the artwork’s position on a wall and prevents any displacement during cleaning. Additionally, the system also provides safety for your children or yourself when artwork is installed above beds or high traffic areas.
MIRRORS
The Picture Hanger understands the particular methods required to ensure safe and secure mirror installation. Processes include using a split baton, interlock moulding, hanging chain, or using bolts to secure to a wall. Design placement considers reflections created by the mirror, and whether the desired result is for aesthetics or for practicality.
PICK UP / DELIVERY OF ARTWORKS / MIRRORS
The Picture Hanger provides an art transport with installation service within Melbourne and surrounding areas. I am able to transport artwork / works 2.2 by 1.5 metres in a purpose-equipped van ensuring your valuables are carefully transported and reach the destination without damage. I do request however that the client packages their artwork prior to transportation.
SMALL JOB DECORATING
The Picture Hanger offers a minor wall repair service, re-painting a wall/room or repairing holes where pictures have required relocation.
CONSERVATION OF ARTWORK
The Picture Hanger is able to provide quotes for restoring your artwork on a pick-up and return basis.
